As my 12 year old and I await the release of “New Moon” I’ve been creating my own versions of the Quileute Wolf Pack. The six pack of hats (shown below) are available now on BearsHats.com.

I chose the outer colors based on Stephanie Meyer’s descriptions. Sam = black, Paul = Silver, Jacob = Red-Brown, Seth = Tan, Leah = Gray, Quil = Chocolate Brown.
For the inner colors, I decided to pay tribute to the first to turn wolf in each of the two packs (Sam’s Original Pack and Jacob’s Breakaway Pack). Sam of course was first, so the hats inspired by him and Paul’s are lined with black fleece. Although Quil does not join Jacob’s pack until “Breaking Dawn”, he is the first in the Breakaway pack that turns wolf. Thus, the hats inspired by Jacob, Quil, Seth, and Leah are lined with chocolate brown fleece.
The accent colors are based on that “red spark” that Bella sees during “Breaking Dawn” as she reaches out her shield to protect the wolves. For each member under her shield she could feel their red spark. Visually, the combination of bright red and black is a little too strong. So while the Breakaway Pack’s more earthy tones work well with the red accent, I chose a darker burgundy for the Original Quiluete Pack of Sam and Paul.
